When it rains, it pours

And hails apparently.  We have had a dry spell for weeks now and every day I'd water my garden wishing it would rain.  When my dad set up my rain barrel (best birthday ever!)  I joked that it was now certain to never rain again.  Boy was I wrong.  On the bright side, my green beans, tomatoes, and okra are so happy they don't know what to do.  Wanna come over for dinner?  As a warning, if you take me up on that I will put you to work.  The black eyed peas won't shell themselves.

In a more wittier sense of the rains/pours phrase, I am currently up to my eyeballs in work this week.  That means that the etsy site is still under construction.  Please be patient, I'm only one girl.  Never mind that my mom helps me with the sewing and prep and pretty much everything.  Keep an eye on things and once I figure out how to promote my online presence we will be in business, quite literally.

It's On!

It's time to party (and not just because my birthday is in like a day).  I have finally worked out the kinks and my etsy store is about to explode.  The aforementioned birthday weekend throws a wrench in the gears but it looks like we are aiming for a Makin' It Happen Monday.  Maybe even a Sorry This Took So Long Sunday, but lets not be too hasty.

There is one item for sale on my etsy page (i love me and you)  and it's an epic custom order for my friend Chris.  I'm so excited.  I love to do custom orders.  Love.  We have so many awesome items in stock and photographed and I cannot wait to share them with everyone.

On a side note, my one-size pocket diapers had to be taken off the shelf until I can get a spare moment to sew more.  They are awesome and fit both of my Littles perfectly.  I am actually glad my stash of name brands have crumbled because it's letting me fall in love with my own diapers all over again.  While I'm at it, I'm taking the insert back to R&D and will possibly be introducing a natural fibers insert.  Yay!

Market Day!

Here we are again on another sunny Saturday, recovering from the St. Andrew's Waterfront Market (www.historicstandrews.com).  I wanted to take a second to thank all of our customers, I put so much thought and love into each piece I make and am so excited to find them homes.  I especially love the challenge of custom orders, they keep me on my toes and I love that.  The week to come will be an exciting one, I am going launch my etsy site (www.ilovemeandyou.etsy.com).  I am going to start selling my custom orders through etsy.  Don't worry, I will still take them at the market but they will be available for purchase through etsy.  This means you can use paypal to purchase your order.  Hooray!  I will also start posting some original Bottom Blossoms for web purchase along with my custom short tutus and other sweetly appliqued onesies.  I'll keep you posted on when the official launch will take place.

as fate would have it

I have often forgotten how old I truly am.  Until I got pregnant with my son I could be found turning cartwheels and scouting playgrounds.  I recently had a bit of a rude awakening as to why people this close to thirty no longer do handstands and cross monkey bars.  I thought two year old Home Slice would get a kick out of seeing mommy cross the monkey bars.  He couldn't have cared less, by the way.  I did do some serious damage to my shoulder.  I also can't take no for an answer and forgot to take it easy.  That resulted in feeling like I would like very much to amputate my shoulder with my teeth at 4am this morning.  Now I wish I had gotten around to working yesterday as it is three times harder today.

Get to work Wednesday

As much as I truly love to sew, I just don't wanna do it right now, in my allotted hour of the day. It's too much pressure. I want to find new blogs giving away exciting new trinkets. I wanna finish watching my stories (did you know Zooey Dashanel is the lead in Tin Man?). In any case, I want to make diapers, not tutus and want to eat chocolate, not drink water. So for all of you who work for a living, I am going to quit whining and make that ballerina pink tutu and I'm gonna like it, so there.

Night Crawlers

I have wonderful news!  I have added a new line to my table at the market, it's called I Love The Night Life.  It features my signature short tutus in retina burning neons and black.  Accompanying the tutus are of course my Bottom Blossoms Bodysuits and coordinating On The Town Ties t-shirts.  For those of you who have experienced the wonderment that is my table, this new addition will blow your socks to smithereens.  So be sure to check it out, but remember it's only on Saturdays from 8:30-1:00 at the St. Andrews Waterfront Market, so show up or miss out on all the fun.

And another thing, these sets can easily be custom ordered in any color palate and any size for pictures, parties, and being cuter than anyone else.

check it out

It only just occured to me to write a blog to correspond with my awesome creations.  If we've met before, then you know that I make the cutest tutus and coordinating baby gift sets ever.  I sell these at the St. Andrews Waterfront Market, which also has an incredible produce selection and wide array of the coolest jewelry ever before seen.  Back to me.  I will have new items weekly so wake up next Saturday and join me at the market.  Joke's on you if you don't, as I will be donating a $10 gift certificate to the 50/50 raffle.
